A large room with some room in it (2023), is an AI-generated image combining the stage performance seed image from Metamimics, with a photo of Office Impart’s gallery space. Through this process, the gallery space becomes incorporated into a digital realm mediated by AI. Subsequently, this digital realm is reintroduced into the physical gallery in the form of a photograph. This photograph - in a sense - suspends the spirit of the seed image in the gallery, as a ‘spirit photograph’, while Metamimics reveals its intricate mutability. The title of the work is generated through AI’s analysis of the content, and selected based on its reflection of the work’s spatial and metaphorical layers.
